Terms & Conditions

MINIMUM STAY​

MINIMUM STAY is 3 NIGHTS DURING LOW SEASON, 7 NIGHTS DURING HIGH SEASON. Amendments to this are at management discretion only. If you leave before the end of your booking you will not be refunded for unused days unless you are over the minimum stay threshold for the time of year. Low season is defined as 1st - 31st October and 29th March - 2nd May. High season is 1st November - 28th March. Your stay will be allocated in it's entirety to the season in which the first day of your stay falls.

DEPOSITS

All accommodation bookings are to be secured with a 50% deposit which is to be paid either via UPI or bank transfer to our Indian business account, or via Revolut or Wise. All deposit payments MUST be made in the billed currency of Indian Rupees for those residing in India, or in Euros for anyone residing outside of India. Any exchange fees are to be carried by guest, although we use these international multi-currency methods because they are great value and minimise exchange costs for all parties.

BALANCE PAYMENTS

All accommodation balances are to be paid at check-in. If you will be arriving overnight we will allow the payment to be made by 11am the morning following your arrival. Balance payments can be made in CASH in Indian Rupees only, via UPI, or via Revolut or Wise. INTERNATIONAL GUESTS - we strongly advise you bring cash.

REFUNDS

You may cancel your room booking for free up to 7 days before check in (calculated at 3pm of the 7th day before your arrival - counting your arrival as day 0. For example if you check in 18th January, your free cancellation window closes at 3pm on 11th January). If you cancel less than 7 days before your arrival you will be charged 50% of your stay. 

TABS

If you are staying onsite we can run a tab for you to cover your cafe and class costs. This tab must be paid IN FULL at checkout using cash, UPI or Wise/Revolut. If you are leaving early hours of overnight you will be required to settle your tab by 7pm the night before your departure.  

OCCUPANCY

Please ensure that you book the correct occupancy. If you book for single occupancy and are found to have two people staying in a bed, the balance for double occupancy will be charged.

GROUPS

We welcome small travel groups of up to 4 where they are sharing our mini dorm, otherwise groups can only be accepted as a privately hired retreat. 

INCLUSIVITY

We are a fully inclusive site, all humans are welcome regardless of nationality, race, religion, marital status or any other parameter. We take infringements against inclusivity very seriously and will not tolerate any abuse of freedoms on our site, from any team member, guest or visitor.

AGE LIMIT

Our accommodation is ADULT ONLY (18+).

The site is intended as a place for peaceful reflection and study, and therefore we do maintain it as adult only. Thanks for understanding that we cannot make exceptions.

ANIMAL & WILDLIFE POLICY

We are a micro-cat sanctuary so to preserve peace for our resident animals (and encourage quieter space for sound sessions and spa experiences) we are not able to have dogs onsite at any time. Please do not allow beach dogs to follow you into the site. 

We are in the tropics and therefore insects and wildlife are part of the experience. Whilst we strive to maintain a high level of comfort in our rooms, we cannot control nature! We have various natural mosquito repellents and take steps during 'mosquito hour' to keep the site as comfortable as possible for you. Please use our refrigerators and cupboards  in the kitchen for any food storage - keeping food in your room is not advised and Yoke will not be held responsibility for any situations that arise as a result of doing so. 

As an animal-loving site, we only use humane repellants, materials and traps.

SMOKING & ALCOHOL

Our site is non-smoking - we do have a signed smoking area just outside our gates.

We are happy for you to bring alcohol to your room if you like, but please remember that the vibe of Yoke is relaxed retreat rather than party! We are not licensed to sell alcohol onsite.

LEGAL DISCLAIMER

Laws apply inside Yoke just as they do outside, please abide by local and national laws in general, and while staying with us.

CLASS & ACTIVITY DISCLAIMER

Whilst we strive to ensure that all classes and activities run consistently, sometime things are beyond our control. People are off sick, travel plans change, power supply can be inconsistent. It's India - we kindly suggest that you go with the flow! We do not offer refunds or discounts on accommodation/retreat stays if a class is unavailable for any reason, and we always do our best to deliver our shala schedule and activities as advertised.

Our team is fully certified and insured, but please be reminded that your safety in all classes and activities is your own responsibility. Yoke Goa and it's facilitators will not be liable for any accident or injury sustained on our site. Please take care and follow all instructions, particularly safety briefings, given by your instructors.

CLASS PAYMENTS

All classes and treatments must be paid for on arrival. Please do not ask for credit as we will not be able to provide it. The only exception is for residential guests, for who we can run a tab which must be paid for on departure. 

Class payments are CASH or UPI only. We do not accept card of foreign currency. Please note that we will not be able to admit you to class without payment.
