So what's a YOKE SELF GUIDED RETREAT?
It's pretty simple! A group of human beings show up at Yoke at a set time and date, check in for either 7 or 14 days, and cultivate a lush little community amongst themselves, with a little help from our team.
It's kind of like a micro co-live, blended with a yoga holiday.
There's daily yoga on the roof of course, plus evening sound healing and yin sessions - but nobody's expecting or insisting you show up to all of it. Self guided means YOU DO YOU. As little or as much as you want, no judgement.
There's breakfast in the garden to enjoy together as a group or with that novel you can't put down, and regular happenings for you and your fellow retreaters to join - it's more like our crew inviting you into their daily life than overwhelming organised tours!
Think surfing with Romy. Temple visits with Priti. Motorbiking into the jungle with Ish. Fabric shopping with Janie. Trips to local jam nights with all of us!

LIFE IN THE SLOW LANE
We'll also arrange a couple of headline events to pull the group together - think sunrise boat trips to see the dolphins followed by a breakfast picnic on a remote beach; or waterfall hikes into the Western Ghats followed by chai and tunes at the spice farm.
What makes SELF RETREAT great is it's what retreats were meant to be - super mellow, life lived in the slow lane. No being dragged around tons of events or having no space to chill between workshops. The schedule is strictly on Goan time - that is, there is no schedule really, and we tweak it as we go to suit the folk in front of us.
You still get all the care, attention and little luxuries that you expect from your holiday - but in terms of connection, think of this retreat as more like staying with friends. Because that's exactly what you'll be doing!

Yoke is an absolute gem of a place. Perfect for my trip (yoga holiday / self retreat) The manager Janie is wonderful. She is super accomodating, helpful and does her best to make sure her guests have the best experience. The staff there are also wonderful! Ish who worked on the morning shift was amazing, providing tea / coffee and serving lovely fruit plates and toast options.
The classes are also excellent - with great teachers! They take place on the beautiful rooftop shala. You get a nice variety available on the schedule, and having access to ice baths and saunas on site was such a treat and took my wellness experience to a whole new level.

SOFT LUXE Accomodation
That's what we call our vibe - SOFT LUXE. Attention to detail, but still rustic relaxed vibes. Solid walls, AC and no stress about bugs and wildlife. Unless you have a problem with cats. And no bling vibes. We're a retreat, a sanctuary, and we want you to be comfortable. So it's natural textures and boho chic (yes the 90s are back) as opposed to glitz and chandeliers.
Our bespoke site is a boutique, intimate venue hosting 9 beautiful double bedrooms in a solid-walled Portuguese building, right underneath the rooftop shala.
The building is behind our Rajasthani gates, in a lush tropical lawned garden. Our style is a gently modern Indo-Ibizenco style, and you can see more at our Instagram.
Yoke Goa is a 1 minute walk from the pristine white sands of Agonda’s famous turtle beach and a couple of minutes stroll from an array of wonderful restaurants. We are located a 12 minute rickshaw or scooter ride to indie Patnem and buzzy Palolem, with waterfalls, wildlife sanctuaries, beach-cruising boat trips, architectural tours and more all within easy reach.
YOUR ROOM
ALL rooms are en suite and have air conditioning. We have three room levels:
Compact
Our 4 cosy rooms are on the ground floor and each have a private shaded balcony for your reading and face-timing needs. A further 2 of this size room are upstairs - they share a seaview balcony that's straight into the sunset.
DELUXE
Our 2 deluxe rooms have double the floorspace for heavy packers and pairs happy to share a bed. These rooms have walk-in wardrobes and shared access to a long balcony overlooking our tropical garden. One also has a partial seaview.
STUDIO
Our biggest space has two double beds, a coffee table area and its own open balcony with a little sofa for lounging. This room can be set up as a superking or two doubles, with up to 4 bodies in here (although we like it best as a twin).

Getting Around
Again, we've got you.
* Once you're with us it's easy to do Agonda on foot. We have a couple of scooters and bicycles onsite for your ad-hoc hire, and can direct you if you want something all to yourself for your whole stay.
* We've got trusted local taxis and rickshaws on tap and our team will always be happy to give you a lift on the back of our bikes if you need a quick ride somewhere.

**The Studio can be booked single occupancy, or if you are happy to share, you can book it as double occupancy and we'll match you to another guest.
If you are joining us as a couple/pair or small group and are happy to share beds, please be in touch for a direct quote for triple/quad occupancy.
We are a British owned, Indian registered company. Our pricing includes all taxes and for ease of international transactions we charge in Euros and accept payments through our Stripe or Revolut accounts, offering you a secure platform for payments.
Should you choose to make a payment in cash we accept our local currency of Indian Rupees (INR). Always check your favourite exchange service for the most up to date exchange rates, but be aware that we will charge your payment at the exchange rate on the day you make it, so please confirm with us for your due total.

MINIMUM RETREAT STAY is 7 NIGHTS AT ANY TIME OF YEAR
Pricing is per person not per room, and is based on single occupancy unless stated otherwise.
We are a fully inclusive site, all humans are welcome regardless of nationality, race, religion, marital status or any other parameter.
Your deposit is non-refundable but IS transferrable to another date.
Your balance is due at the LATEST 4 weeks before your arrival date. On receipt of your deposit we'll agree a payment plan to suit your needs. We can accept transfer directly into our Indian bank account or by card via our Stripe account.
The only exception is if you wish to pay your balance in cash on arrival, in which case please contact us for your total in local currency.
Our accommodation is ADULT ONLY (18+).
Whilst we do have occasional family-specific spa and sound sessions, the site is intended as a place for peaceful reflection and study, and therefore we do maintain it as adult only for the most part. Thanks for understanding that we cannot make exceptions.
We are a micro-cat sanctuary so to preserve peace for our resident animals (and encourage quieter space for sound sessions and spa experiences) we are not able to have dogs onsite at any time.
