WHY THIS TRAINING IS LIKE NO OTHER...
We are the only truly blended Yin & Sound training - teaching you to ACTUALLY INTEGRATE rather than treat either modality as an add-on
We are the only hybrid training in Asia and we think the world (!) that teaches Electronic/Digital sound modules in this context - giving you a huge edge in the graduate marketplace
Our approach centres mental health and psychology, and we fold our neuroscience training methods into this course too.
We are 100% confident that our training is completely unique and first of it's kind. Here's why...
Your facilitators have crafted their own proprietary methods - we are not teaching you cut-and-paste formats and protocols. Nobody does what we do.
Yes we cover essential sound healing and yin yoga curriculum. But we tailor the training to each and every student, adding extra individualised content and taking 1:1 time to ensure you leave with a practice as original as ours.

Yoke's most popular class is our signature Yin + Sound, a completely unique experience that has captured the hearts and souls of absolutely everyone who has wandered into the shala on a Monday night - this is a practice truly grounded in personal transformation, deep experience of our facilitators, and the desire for absolute authenticity of practice.
Together, Janie & Tiki have crafted a space which is so much more than two modalities fused together, and this long-awaited training brings the textures, tones, inner science and emotional landscape of our powerful YIN + SOUND practice together for the first time as a hybrid training - this is something truly one of a kind.
This accredited and fully certified (IPHM, CMA) training not only gives you 50hrs each of Yin Yoga and Foundations of Sound Healing, but our methodology teaches you to alchemise these practices together seamlessly, blending their mirrors and reflections into one unified, delicious and utterly immersive practice led by synergy, clarity, and depth.
The majority of your classes on training will be co-facilitated, so you will learn how to weave yin and sound into a magical tapestry of transformation in real time, and will never end up bolting them together with one of the two as an afterthought. We have seen over hundreds of classes and students that the greatest benefit of bringing yin and sound together is offered in absolute synergy, with each modality supporting the other, and our unique take on the nature of collaborative practice is the foundation of this training.
Modules will include:
* Pranayama & Regulation
* Yoga Nidra & The Science of Restorative Rest
* The Art of Listening
* The Mechanics of Sound
* Neuroscience of Yin
* Electronic Music & DJ Skills for Facilitators

JANIE EVERETT
@_silenceandnoise_
Yoke's founder Janie is a Sound Practitioner with 10+ years experience in delivering transformative soundscapes and 12+ years of teaching experience encompassing sound, yoga, meditation and Reiki. Janie's methods are centred on the alchemy of science and spirituality, centring the intersectional nature of wellness.
A sound practitioner & teacher trainer, yoga teacher, Reiki master, author and founder of retreat venue Yoke Goa, Janie is originally from the southeast of England, but has spent most of her adult life in a work pattern that has had her bouncing between places such as the US, France, Spain, China and now India. Working at the intersection of neuroscience, psychology and energetic practice, she designs immersive sound experiences that invite deep nervous system recovery, altered states of awareness and lasting personal transformation. Her approach has been shaped as much by a lifelong fascination with consciousness and psychdelia as it has by an encyclopaedic musical range that reaches from classical to techno via grunge, drum’n’bass and everything in between. Her path is inextricably linked to her own experience of brain tumour, breakdown and corporate burnout; the totality of which has produced a methodology that is both scientifically informed and intuitively led. A classically trained musician, Janie composes richly layered sonic environments that move a long way past the conventional sound bath. She mastered gong with the pioneering British sound healer Sheila Whittaker, and trained in sound therapy with the College of Sound Healing as well as extensively in the Nepalese Himalayan tradition and 1:1 with sound masters across the globe. She has also studied DJing and music production, and was an early adopter of digital sounds in the healing space. Her particular interest is the impact of sound on PTSD, chronic stress and anxiety, ADHD and the neurodivergent experience. Janie has worked full time in sound since 2017 and has practised yoga for over twenty years. She is a senior yoga teacher, an Usui Reiki Master, a certified neuroscience coach, and holds a trauma-informed practice certification. She is Director of Sound Science at CH2 Foundation, a Pune-based non-profit bringing holistic methods to the frontline of modern medicine in partnership with India's Ministry of AYUSH, and Global Brand Director of Raaha Wellness. Her book, The Healing Power of Sound, was published by David & Charles in 2024.
TIKI KUMAR
@tikixtara
Tiki has been teaching yoga for 9 years and has been specialising in Yin Yoga, Nidra and her signature Sleep Trance since relocating to Goa 3 years ago. Tiki's practice is infused with powerful use of language and a deep understanding of trauma-informed methodology.
Tiki grew up in Calcutta, the youngest in a large joint family and, by her own account, the nerd who read books while everyone else watched the week's one permitted film. Fiercely independent from the start, by eighteen she had lived in four major Indian cities without her parents, and credits that separation with a good deal of who she became. Curiosity took her to England for most of her twenties, studying and climbing the corporate ladder, none of which was the plan. She returned to India nearly a decade later, gave the corporate path a little longer, and worked out fairly quickly it wasn't going to do. Within a year she was running an award-winning beach resort and yoga space in South Goa. Covid took the resort. It did not touch the entrepreneurial streak. She moved to Germany and opened a yoga studio in the middle of lockdown, in a district some would call an area for misfits, a word she has always had empathy for. That studio became a refuge for many, herself included. Tiki now teaches in India, and considers finding her voice through teaching to be her own medicine. Today she wears domestic abuse survivor and solo-mum as badges of honour. Still on her path of healing as so many of us are, it’s finding her voice through teaching that she considers as her medicine. Turning pain into purpose yet again. In her classes you may find the words sound as though they were meant for you specifically. Very often they are. Tiki believes being a mother has given her the kind of strength, purpose, resilience and softness that nothing else could ever have. She credits her three year old daughter as having saved her life. Tiki has owned award-winning yoga spaces in both India and Europe, and has been teaching yoga across multiples styles to thousands of students across the globe for 9 years. She considers Yin and Nidra as her teaching sweet spot and has developed her signature neuroscience-based Yin & Sleep Trance. Tiki’s practice is infused with powerful use of language and a deep understanding of trauma-informed methodology. She has also acquired her Sound Healing Levels 1 & 2 certification.
